Video Shooting Environments

Each Video Shooting Environment is an exciting arcade-like game unto itself which features simple controls that are easy to use but difficult to master using the mouse. You move your weapon's crosshairs around the scene to target a shooter, a thrown hand grenade, or incoming rocket. Clicking the left mouse button fires the weapon. Vigilance is required, however, as the shooting environments are scrollable so there may be shooters off-screen that you need to kill. You need to use the heads-up-display to preempt impending threats off-screen. Again, you can use Ctrl+W before the status ring is filled in order to continue playing the game without being "killed." Shooting spinning ammo clips in mid-air adds bullets to your clip—shooting flower platters to reveal badges adds lives for you.

SAFEHOUSE
The action begins at a "safehouse" where a former Cyrez engineer and his daughter are being held by a group of terrorists. Cyrez is the arms manufacturer illegally selling high-tech weapons (called rail guns) overseas. The rail guns, which were designed in part by the former engineer, are awesomely powerful weapons that fire projectiles near the speed of light and use high-tech scopes that can acquire a target through walls. One of these weapons will be made available to you later in the game. For now, you must defeat the terrorists to gain entry to the safehouse and rescue the hostages.
PROFESSOR'S HOUSE
During the course of the investigation, you are ordered to remove any sensitive materials from the home of the Professor, a retired member of WITSEC, who is mysteriously missing. Upon arrival at the house, you are ambushed by a strike team intent on impeding his entry, and must secure the house before moving inside.
PARKING GARAGE
Utilizing information gained from the Professor, you attempt to recover a prototype of the rail gun which is hidden in the attendant's room of a crumbling parking structure. Opposition is fierce as shooters command vantage points on several levels of the garage. This environment features shooters who use teamwork and suppression fire to gain superior position.
WAREHOUSE
Finally, you get to unleash the awesome power of the rail gun while attempting to rescue the former Cyrez engineer from an abandoned warehouse. This shooting environment includes a demonstration of video transparency, a new feature implemented in the game to simulate the rail gun's high-tech sighting equipment. This is a complex event where you must first eliminate the perimeter sentries before shooting the main hostage guards. Characters also appear to give you a hint (true or false) about which window at the top of the warehouse contains the communications center. A correct choice by you shuts down all the sentries. A wrong choice kills the hostage.
